I’m tempted to begin every piece I write, lately, with “I’m tired, you’re tired…” but this time, I have some news that might help!
The busybody residents of the Arconia are back in Season Five of Only Murders in the Building, the charming NYC whodunnit show starring Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez. Like clockwork, at the end of every summer/start of every fall, we get a new season, and this is no exception. The new season premieres on September 9th on Hulu. Three episodes will drop that day, and then will release weekly.
Beloved guest stars return! Michael Cyril Creighton, Nathan Lane, Richard Kind, Meryl Streep, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph will be back, as well Teddy Coluca, as Lester, the murdered doorman. New seasonal additions to the cast include Christoph Waltz, Keegan-Michael Key, Jermaine Fowler, Logan Lerman, Téa Leoni, Beanie Feldstein, Dianne Wiest and Renée Zellweger.
Hulu’s official episode description reads as such:
“After Lester [the Arconia’s doorman] dies under suspicious circumstances, Charles, Oliver, and Mabel refuse to believe it was an accident. Their investigation plunges them into the shadowy corners of New York and beyond — where the trio uncovers a dangerous web of secrets connecting powerful billionaires, old-school mobsters, and the mysterious residents of the Arconia. The trio discovers a deeper divide between their storied city they thought they knew and the new New York evolving around them — one where the old mob fights to hold on as newer, even more dangerous players emerge.”
