In a post on September 8th of this year, Stephen King shared his top 10 favorite movies. He listed them on the social media platform X (formerly twitter). And guess what? They are mostly crime movies! The least is HALF crime movies, with lots of crime-adjacent movies making up the rest. ALL of these movies are included in the CrimeReads genre pantheon, except maybe Groundhog Day.
This makes sense, though, because so many of King’s novels are crime novels in essence, if not literally.
