Georges Simenon’s beloved Maigret book series has become a TV series! And, as if the news couldn’t get any better, the series is on MASTERPIECE Mystery!
Apparently, this is the first modern, contemporary-set television adaptation of Maigret. The series premieres on Sunday, Oct. 5, at 9 pm /8 pm central on Masterpiece Mystery, on PBS. Benjamin Wainwright plays the great detective. This series is in English, with British accents, despite being set in France. Do I wish it were French? Yes. Do I really care? Probably not.
